After months of choosing new restaurants over ol’ reliables, Jason and I finally decided to try the seafood at The Mermaid Inn, which I’d read many good things about. We started with these cold lobster knuckles which were packed with meat. Dinner didn’t disappoint either though Jason did return his lobster sandwich for the ceviche and crab cakes. He dislikes mayo, but I love it, so the large pieces of lobster tossed in mayo on a brioche roll worked for me. Thrilled he ordered the ceviche though - never have I seen a half shell brimming with so much tangy, citrus-soaked veggies and scallop meat.
On that positive note, make sure you sign up for the 30% off dinner discount at Mermaid Inn on Blackboard Eats today. Blackboard Eats is the best* discount site I’ve come across for restaurants in NYC and I’d recommend them to anybody.
