introducing amyblogschow 2.0
It’s been two years in the works, but, at last, I’m thrilled to announce the Amy Blogs Chow redesign!
When I began blogging in 2009, I published on two platforms: WordPress and Tumblr. I treated Tumblr as a complement to my “main site,” but after a year of maintaining both, I realized I was dividing readers’ attention unnecessarily with two online destinations.
Eventually, I decided to publish only to Tumblr; I loved its positive community and garden of interchangeable themes. The Tumblr iPhone app improved significantly, too, so now blogging on the go is pretty painless.
While I customized the theme by Style Hatch myself, I want to say thanks to my friend Esther Kim of Pretty Little Underthings for her help when the redesign process began last year.
Now, about a new logo…
Something New & See-Through
After a year of swearing that I would redesign my blog, it’s finally happening thanks to my friend Esther S. Kim, lingerie blogger/founder of Pretty Little Underthings and senior designer at Publicis Modem. There are women, like me, who merely long for pretty covetable things, but Esther is among the few who tirelessly seek out and share her discoveries.
To see what I mean, follow Esther’s Tumblr blog, I Love Beautiful Things, and take a look at her professional design work, too.
I find that combining seemingly disparate styles and ideas tend to yield wonderful results. Opposites attract, as they say. A food blog re-imagined by a lingerie blogger - it’s gonna be great.
