Evidence from the evening. Didn’t get to be Suzy Bishop from Moonrise Kingdom this year as I planned earlier in this post. Found a dress with one poufy sleeve and awesome tie-dye glasses so left the apartment as an Aspiring 80s Hipster instead.
P.S. I loved Cassandra’s costume! She was Dia de los Muertos.

Per my brilliant suggestion, Chris just agreed to be Sam Shakusky from Moonrise Kingdom for Halloween.
Which means… I’m on the lookout for a pink dress with a big white collar and knee-high socks this week. That, or I’ll have to improvise and make something that resembles it.
Plus, there’s always this.
In any case — Hooray! Suddenly looking forward to Halloween parties.

I don’t often crave chocolate in candy form. I prefer my chocolate in cakes. Maybe it’s the vast difference in size; maybe it’s the texture (yes, definitely the texture). Either way, chocolate cookies, macarons, ice cream, soufflés, and shakes trump truffles any day!
That said, white chocolate ghosts are quite cute. You wouldn’t put googly eyes on a s’more. Happy Halloween!
