Plotting world domination with Kat and Alison over Dutch pancakes. The skylight in the back room means there’s beautiful natural light here, but the blueberry lemon pancakes could have used more lemon juice. And butter.

It’s Monday night and I’m thrilled to share this photo of my blackberry pancakes from Spitzer’s Corner. I was in hot pursuit of Sugar Sweet Sunshine cupcakes in the Lower East Side last Saturday when I crossed paths with Spitzer’s blackboard, which announced BRUNCH! They serve it until 5PM. I was particularly pleased to stumble across Spitzer’s because my last visit had resulted with their extremely excellent Kobe beef burger in my stomach. Weird thing is…at the time they wouldn’t put cheese on the burger as “it would compromise the integrity of the beef”. So I asked for cheese on the side - a request they were happy to comply with. But I guess, eventually, they realized they were being ridiculous. Now you can have your burger and the cheese too.
