I said this last time, but Wok+Wine is one of the most fun food experiences you can participate in. This is my third time and I will likely be back for a fourth…
Update: Suffering a bit the next day from one too many shots of Lemon Z Limoncello, which Wok+Wine founders Peter and Lizzie served after the shrimp feast. Limoncello is delicious but lethal.
Last chance to get tickets for tomorrow’s shrimp & wine fest in Tribeca…

I’ve been lusting after the $14 lobster rolls at East Village’s new arrival, Luke’s Lobster, since I read about it last week. The eight seat storefront is operated by Luke and Ben who seem to be keeping pace with the other twentysomethings in the NYU-run neighborhood.
I ordered the $20 Seaboat platter which comes with 1/2 bun filled with pink shrimp, another 1/2 bun brimming with crab meat, and a third 1/2 bun spilling over with chunks of lobster. As you can see, the meat is practically crawling out of the bread. But keep in mind - the camera’s on macro-focus, which means you won’t feel full from a Seaboat. By the time you inhale the threesome, you’ll probably still crave another 1/2 lobster roll that’ll set you back an additional $8.
$28 + tax for two small seafood-stuffed buns is a price I’ll pay on occasion. But I will keep looking for that one ginormous lobster roll that won’t leave me wondering if I should grab an arepa next door. I hear Mermaid Inn is a good place to start.
